​As a performer, Ms. Frankel appeared in many shows including West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Wonderful Town, No Strings, The King and I, Pal Joey and others. She was often a featured dancer in these productions and was a soloist in several well known dance companies. She appeared on various major network television shows and in Woody Allen s film, Everyone Says I Love You.

Her work with several college and university theater departments includes choreographing productions of Working and Anything Goes. She staged Mambo, an original musical theater presentation written for the South Bronx Community Action Theater performed by inner city students. Recently, Ms. Frankel was invited by the renowned International Fringe Festival in New York City to choreograph an original musical, The Gathering Room.

She has choreographs musical theater productions for a Long Island performing arts high school which includes Oklahoma, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Sound of Music, Bye Bye Birdie, Kiss Me Kate, My Fair Lady and Fiddler On The Roof.
